My whole life has been a struggle of wanting to create the hundreds of stories, ideas, and pictures I have in my head, but always being unable to make things as quickly as I can imagine them.
Even in my most productive bursts, I still fall short and my ideas always outpace my hands.
One of my biggest fears is dying without being able to create a fraction of the things I dream of making, and those ideas dying with me.
I know I’m not alone in this.
The distance between inspiration and creation is so large. So many factors can cloud the creative process that it almost seems impossible to navigate, yet the world is still full of beautiful art, music, stories, and labors of love.
If others can do it, then why can’t I?
In this series, I will engage with different creators in deep dives into their craft, inspiration, struggles, and passions.
I hope these conversations inspire other struggling creators like myself—whether seasoned or aspiring—to reflect on their own journeys and find insight or encouragement in the experiences of those who have walked similar paths.
